Overview:

The Coleman Journeymaster L drive-away awning offers a spacious shelter, which can be connected to the camper van, via the connecting panel, or equally stand-alone if the vehicle is disconnected, and driven away from the campsite. The purpose of the Journeymaster is to provide additional shelter, storage, living, and sleeping spaces external to the camper van, freeing up some space inside the van for a more comfortable camping trip.

The Fastpitch Air design makes the product perfect for touring, as it can be pitched and set down exceptionally quickly, within 15 minutes. Furthermore, the Blackout bedroom is included with the awning, which makes for a comfortable night’s sleep and helps to eliminate 99% of the daylight. 

Ideal For: Designed for VW-style camper vans, the Journeymaster collection will fit any height between 180-210cm. Perfect for touring, due to the quick-pitching nature of the product. Sleeps up to two people in the inner bedroom, which is supplied with the shelter.

• Durable, Robust Fabric: The 150 Denier polyester fabric is a middle-weight polyester fabric, offering greater resilience than the 70 Denier, entry-level fabric, but retaining a lightweight, portable design.
• Sewn-in Groundsheet: A sealed groundsheet is a fantastic barrier to the elements, creating a draught-free seal, and also helping to keep the bugs outside. Also features a drop-down groundsheet doorway, which is ideal for prams and wheelchairs.
• Blackout Bedrooms: Block 99% of the daylight to get a much better night’s sleep without being woken at the crack of dawn. The bedroom is included, and pre-hung inside the drive-away awning, sleeping up to two people.
• Coleman Weathertec: A highly waterproof fabric, treated to 6000mm Hydrostatic Head, an extremely high waterproofing column.
• Parallel Design: Sits side-by-side with the camper van, more ideal for vans where the habitation door resides on the UK passenger side, to allow the awning and van to face the same direction.
• Drive Away Concept: Free-standing in nature, the Journeymaster’s connecting panel detaches from the van, and can be rolled against the side of the tent. Mark the tyre locations before leaving the campsite.
• Large Connecting Panel: The connecting panel has one side door and a large storage space, and offers a weatherproof side annex between the shelter and the camper van.

Methods of Attachment

1. Pre Attached Kador Rail 6mm – slides straight into a rail, or wind out awning. (Fiamma Requires a 4mm Drive Away Kit). Purchase a drive-away kit for the ability to be able to drive off-site.
2. Velcro Straps – easily attach to roof bars should the van have these.
3. Sleeve for Pole and Clamp Kit to allow for older styles of van which have a gutter fitted to the side of the van.
4. 8M Storm Straps – can be thrown over the vehicle and pegged down the other side.
